Our Story
Soroptimist International is a global voice for women.
Our club was proudly founded on the 8th of March 1975, on the International Women's Day.
Soroptimist International members are women of generosity as we share what we know; what we do and invite others to join us in these activities. Our members are diverse in their interests; their ethnicity and abilities which they share generously with others.
New Zealand members of Soroptimist International are members of the South West Pacific Federation which includes clubs in:

Soroptimist International has FIVE Federations:

Soroptimist International Africa
Members in every club are able to visit with other clubs when they are travelling internationally. Soroptimist International members combine nationally and internationally to report their concerns and are a voice for women at the United Nations.
Clubs have ‘Friendship Links’ with clubs in each Federation which are formally recognised and recorded. We currently have friendship links with the United Kingdom, Fiji, Mongolia, The United States, Italy and Malaysia.
